We invite you to join the Dignity Demand Bucket Meetup. If you have been confined within the St. Louis City Justice Center or have a loved one currently held there, please come fellowship with us. Your voice is vital as we build a community dignity plan driven directly by those who have survived these systemic harms.
The dehumanization, isolation, and abuse endured by the political prisoners we honor remain a daily reality for individuals trapped within our modern carceral system. Nationwide, nearly 2 million people are locked away - including approximately 1.1 million in state facilities, 150,000 to 200,000 in federal prisons, and more than 500,000 in local jails. Locally, 700 individuals are confined inside the St. Louis City Injustice Center.
Incarceration in our city has effectively become a death sentence. Neglected health emergencies, substandard medical attention, and a total absence of mental health care are killing people behind bars.…
